Dear MRC Family,
Pentecost blessings to you in this season of Ordinary Time
At this table, everyone is welcome
At this table, everyone is seen
At this table, everybody matters
These are the beginning lyrics of At This Table by Idina Menzel. Our Joyful Noise Adult Choir will be singing it this Sunday. Click the link to get a preview of this beautiful song.
Yes, at God’s table of grace everyone is welcome, seen, and everybody matters and this is what we will be celebrating on World Communion Sunday. As we gather to worship, we will remember our siblings from above and below the equator, from the North and from Down Under, from every time zone around the globe. As the sunlight inches across land and sea Christians will gather to celebrate their place in God's family.
At this table, everyone is welcome
At this table, everyone is seen
At this table, everybody matters
We will give God thanks for the multiplicity of humanity with our complexity of color and culture, yet called into oneness-of-being through Christ. With many tongues, yet with one voice, we will honor God saying: Holy, holy, holy Lord, God of power and might, heaven and earth are full of your glory. Hosanna in the highest! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord. Hosanna in the highest!
As Christ is our light, may we be lights to others illuminating the path toward communion with God, the Holy Spirit and Jesus, our friend and brother.*
At this table, everyone is welcome
At this table, everyone is seen
At this table, everybody matters
I am preaching from Exodus 16.1-18 — the Israelites are fed manna and quail in the wilderness — and my sermon title is When in the Wilderness. After worship, come to the Education Building where we will continue the feast of the Lord’s Supper with our First Sunday Brunch. Thank you, Kitchen Team! If you are unable to be in person, we will be streaming live on our YouTube channel, https://www.youtube.com/@mrcafabulouschurchoflove1611.
At this table, everyone is welcome
At this table, everyone is seen
At this table, everybody matters
No one falls between . . .
At this table, everything's forgiven
There's enough for everyone
So come as you are
Keep following and bothering Jesus, beloved.
With gratitude for the privilege of being your pastor and the holy call of loving you,
Pastor Trish
