Dear MRC Family,
Lenten blessings to you
I look forward to being back in person to worship with you this Sunday at 10:30 AM. No more blizzards! Come on spring! Tom will lead us in our hymns and sing the Prelude “Out of Hiding” and the Anthem “Faithful God.” The New Jericho Choir will bless us with the Message for all ages singing “Change My Heart, O God.” I am preaching from John 11.1-44 — Jesus raises Lazarus from the dead — and my sermon title is Four Days Too Late? I invite you to watch this clip from the series The Chosen as a way of visually entering into the Scripture reading: https://www.youtube.
Lastly, here is the reflection question for this upcoming week from our Lenten devotional Tell Me Something Good (TMSG) from A Sanctified Art based on the Scripture readings Luke 7.36-50 and Matthew 25.35-40: Describe an example of extravagant love. I would love to hear your answers! And in you, beloved, I certainly see and feel God’s extravagant love.
Keep following and bothering Jesus. See you Sunday!
With gratitude for the privilege of being your pastor and the holy call of loving you,
Pastor Trish
