Dear MRC Family,
Blessings to you, beloved of God, in this season of Ordinary Time
One of the many blessings I have as your pastor is to be surrounded by such faithful, talented, and gifted leaders who care deeply for our church and our community. This week was a case in point, as are most weeks. I asked MRC member AnnaRose if she would make a reel for our social media pages advertising our Worship of Unburdening for this Sunday, September 27. I described my vision for the worship and we shot a reel. Beloved, she captured exactly what I had described so I’m going to let her words sum up what to expect in worship this coming Sunday.

There is a place for you here.
This Sunday, we invite you into a safe, loving space for a special worship experience centered on unburdening and hope.
No expectations. No judgment. You don’t need to have the right words. You don’t need to have everything figured out. All are welcome. (You may speak your burden or write it down.)
This service will not be broadcast or live-streamed. What is shared in this space stays in this space.
Come carrying whatever has been weighing on you. Our intention is that you leave carrying something different: HOPE

I would merely add, I will give a brief reflection-story called Making My Peace, and we have beautiful music planned as well. And, as it is my intention for us to go out big, joyful, and with hope, what better person to bring us such joy than Dolly Parton and her song, “Light of a Clear Blue Morning.”
Of note: Adult Education in Coventry House (the parsonage) on Wednesdays at 10AM & 6PM (note new evening time). Our topic is Your Questions, Answered and our question for this week is — Why does God allow suffering? Please note we will only meet at 10AM this week as I will be attending the Stated Session of Classis New Brunswick on Wednesday evening.
Of note: We are having a Rummage Sale October 2 - 3, 9AM - 3PM in the Education Building. Come early to browse and enjoy coffee as you search for treasures! If you would like to donate items, please put them in the Coventry House garage on the tables. Please NO books, records, CDs, VHS, cassette tapes, or large furniture. And during the rummage sale on October 2, there will also be a Free Wellness Screening from Hackensack Meridian Health from 9AM - 12PM. If you are able to donate some time to unpack boxes and organize for the rummage sale this week, please come on by the Education Building.
