Nice versus Kind

Dear MRC Family,

Pentecost blessings to you, beloved of God, in this season of Ordinary Time

What is the difference between being nice and being kind? Would you rather someone be nice to you or kind to you? Both?

Come this Seventh Sunday after Pentecost to find out the answer to these questions! Tom will lead us in our hymns and sing the Prelude “More Than Enough” and the Anthem “You Have Been There.” Our fruit of the Spirit this week for our Summer Sermon Series is Kindness. I am preaching from Luke 6.27-28; 31-36 and Ephesians 4.31-32 — How can we be more like how God is in the world? — and my sermon title is Do Something Kind. After worship, come downstairs to the Lower Auditorium for coffee and conversation with your church family before you go out to have your summer fun.
