Pentecost blessings to you, beloved of God
We continue to celebrate Pride month and the inclusive love of God this Fourth Sunday after Pentecost at 10:30AM. Tom will lead us in our hymns and sing the Anthem, “For Everyone Born.” I am preaching from Genesis 21.8-21 and Acts 8.26-39 — two Scripture texts where water becomes life-giving for those who are called “outsiders” — and my sermon title is Holy Water. And we will come to the Lord's table of grace and welcome and receive the bread of life and the cup of blessing. After worship, come downstairs to the Lower Auditorium for coffee and conversation before you head out for summer fun.

And beloved, we will celebrate the life of MRC cherished member Henry Thorpe with a wake on Friday, June 19, 5-7PM and a memorial service on Saturday, June 20, 11AM with a repast to follow in the Education Building. Both services will be held in the sanctuary. Please continue to hold the Thorpe family in your prayers as they grieve and mourn their tremendous loss.
