Dear MRC Family,

Christmas blessings to you and a Happy New Year, beloved one of God

This Sunday is the Sunday when we celebrate the Epiphany, the Light, the continued joy of God becoming flesh for us, as the Christ is revealed to the Magi and thus symbolically to the world. The Epiphany is —

A space to think of our spiritual journeys as we begin a new year. What do you hope for God to teach you and to grow in you during 2026?

A moment to reflect on where the Spirit is leading us and to whom. Where do you want to travel with God? From whom do you wish to learn or connect?

A time of stars and wonder. Do you have a favorite star? What is it?

These, and many other questions, reflect the beauty of the Epiphany. So come at 10:30 AM and let us praise the Christ Child as the Magi did so long ago. Tom will be leading us in our hymns and will sing the Prelude “More Than Enough” and the Anthem “The Plans.” I am preaching from Isaiah 60.1-6 and Matthew 2.1-12 and my sermon title is His Star is Love. We will also come to the table of the Lord and celebrate the Holy
Supper together. Lastly, I will be giving out star words in worship. These are words that are single, guiding words (like Curiosity, Courage, Generosity, Peace, Journey) drawn from a basket at the start of the year to reflect God's presence and to guide spiritual growth, representing the star that led the Magi. What will your star word say? We shall see what the Spirit gives!

Keep following and bothering Jesus. See you Sunday!

With gratitude for the privilege of being your pastor and the holy call of loving you,

Pastor Trish
