Dear Middletown Reformed Church Family and Friends,
Greetings of peace to you!
I look forward to welcoming you to worship at 10:30 AM this Twenty-Second Sunday after Pentecost. Tom is back from vacation and will lead us in our hymns and sing the Anthem “Bread, Blessed and Broken.” I am preaching from 2 Samuel 7.1-17 and Luke 1.30-33 — David wanting to build a house for God and God’s promise to David concerning his heir, who will be God’s Son and whose kingdom will endure forever — and my sermon title is Don’t Fence Me In (be ready to sing with me).
This is also the Red Bank CROP Hunger Walk Sunday and I’m inviting you to bring in a can of soup and/or beans, peanut butter, or rice to church to donate to the CROP walk and place it on the communion table. Let’s fill our communion table with food and do our part to stock food pantries in our area. You may still donate online to the CROP walk at team Middletown Reformed Church: https://events.crophungerwalk.org/cropwalks/tricia-sheffield?utm_campaign=2024-crop-hunger. We are called by God to love and feed one another.
See you Sunday. You are loved!
With gratitude for the privilege of being your pastor and the holy call of loving you,
Pastor Trish
