Dear MRC Family,

Epiphany blessings to you

It will be good to be back in person with you in our warm and welcoming sanctuary this fourth Sunday after Epiphany at 10:30 AM! Tom has returned from vacation and will lead us in our hymns and sing the Prelude “Always on Time” and the Anthem “Grateful For.” I am preaching from John 4.1-42 — two enemies meet at a well to get a drink of water — and my sermon title is The Power of a Simple Conversation. Also, we will come to God’s table of amazing grace and celebrate the Sacrament of the Lord’s Supper as the beautiful body of Christ. After worship, we will hold our annual congregational meeting when we will learn all the ways the Spirit has worked through us in 2025. After our meeting, come to the Education Building for our delicious First Sunday brunch prepared by our faithful Kitchen Team. What an amazing Sunday we will share together! If you are unable to be in person for worship, we will be streaming live on our YouTube channel, https://www.youtube.com/@mrcafabulouschurchoflove1611.

Save the Date for Breaking Bread with Your Family’s Favorite Meal on February 21 at 5:30 PM. You are invited to make your family’s favorite meal that brings back fond memories of your life in a fellowship event. Share your family’s story about the meal or who originated the recipe. What made this meal so significant and filled with loving memories? Bring back those moments of cooking together and connecting through mealtime.

Lastly, I understand many of us are anxious, uncertain, dismayed, sad, angry —name your emotions — about what’s going on in our country. I share your feelings. If you wish to talk, please reach out to me as that’s what I’m here for. I won’t be able to fix it, but I do promise to sit next to you, hold your hand, listen, and pray.

Keep following and bothering Jesus. You are loved; you ARE Love. And our neighbors need your Love.

With gratitude for the privilege of being your pastor and the holy call of loving you,

Pastor Trish
